of Home Information Packs (HIPS) commences on December 14th, hip1st has been working

From December 14th all properties entering the market must have instructed
the immediate completion of a HIP.
What’s in a HIP?
hip1st supports the new regulations and believes that the compulsory and voluntary documents will guarantee a simple transaction for both buyers and sellers.
The HIP will contain the following compulsory documents:
- Home Information Pack Index
- Energy Performance Certificate
- Sale statement
- Standard searches
- Evidence of title
- Additional information for leasehold and commonhold sales, where appropriate.
On request, the HIP may also contain the following voluntary documents:
- Home Condition Report
- Legal summary
- Home use/contents forms
- Other searches
hip1st can offer the HIP in its entirety
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will be a compulsory element of the HIP.
An EPC will document the energy efficiency of a property and grade it accordingly.
An EPC can only be produced by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or Home
Inspector (HI).
